Sailing Atlantic Ocean with Dolphins
€3240 €2690
per 3 days adventure for up to 4 persons, all inclusiveLive like a seafaring nomad, far from the corporate society and surrounded by nature. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! For those willing to build up miles, this adventure log around 80 nautical miles.
Being one of our best sellers, this adventure is a mix of personal challenge, sport, culture and leisure.
We’ll be sailing a well cared, comfortable, safe and fast sailing yacht. It looks fancy and easy at first sight but we’ll be sharing a limited space, we’ll be living with less, exposed to the magic but sometimes harsh Earth elements, crossing wild open waters, challenging the winds and turning over capes. This can be very demanding but there is nothing as changeling ourselves to accomplish the goal of reaching places where we’ll never be unless on a sailing yacht and with a skipper able to take us there.
Imagine yourself, at the end of the day, laying down on the bow of a sailing yacht, anchored somewhere far from the corporate society, surrounded by water, overwhelming sights, sounds and smells, looking up to a deep sky full of stars. This is something unique and a lifetime opportunity. You should try it at least once!
This adventure is all about several experiences from the moment zero. They can be light or challenging. Our task is to lead you through them and make sure you’re safe and accomplish the goal successfully, but at the end is your decision which level of engagement you are interested in. If you just want to relax the whole day, get tanned, take pictures of dolphins (we’ll be crossing a place well known as the dolphins paradise on the Atlantic Ocean), you can do it.
Note: for those looking for a sea training or miles log, this passage log around 80 nautical miles on our logs book and our Ocean skipper will sign a miles certificate.

Day 1: Debrief & Departure
We meet at the modern side of Lisbon, Parque das Nacoes.
The skipper will show you the boat and, all together, decide how the space will be shared and where can you accommodate your belongings.
A safety briefing will be given and everyone should know where the safety and emergency equipment are located and how to deploy and handle them (first aid kits, life-vests, harnesses, life rafts, beacon, etc).
Every one should know how to turn on and off and operate the boat engine.
When everyone is ready, we'll hoist the sails on the Tagus (Tejo) river and head up to the Atlantic Ocean.
In between you can enjoy all the 7 hills of Lisbon from the river side, Vasco da Gama bridge, the downtown, Praça do Comercio (Terreiro do Paço), Cais do Sodre, Alcantara, Almada, 25 de Abril bridge, The King Christ (Cristo Rei), Belem Tower (Torre de Belem), Padrao dos Descobrimentos, Bugio lighthouse (Forte de Sao Lourenço or Farol do Bugio), Forte de Sao Juliao da Barra, Seixa Palace (Palacio de Seixas) and many other POIs and neighborhoods which will be on our sight.
Once on the Atlantic Ocean we'll head up to our first open sea waters bay where we'll set anchor and have a meal on board. After you can enjoy the freedom of setting anchor at an open sea bay, enjoy the sun, clear waters (dive and swim or lay down on the sun pad cushions and relax) and stay for the night, far from the corporate society and surrounded by the sound of the wind and the water hitting the boat hull and delighting yourself looking to the stars and the moon on the sky. Earth elements will be your mate and that's an overwhelming experience.
To dock at Marina de Cascais is also possible if berths are available.
Note: this leg starting time is dependent on river tidal flush.

Day 2: Open Seas
We'll have a breakfast on board, prepare the boat for the next journey, bring the anchor up and set sails back to open waters again.
On the second leg of this adventure we'll be sailing through a place which is well known by the dolphin's paradise, so the chance to watch these lovely creatures on their natural habitat is pretty high.
Guests will be invited to participate on sailing maneuvers and we'll be happy to share our knowledge about sailing, knots, navigation, boat electronics and living on the water.
On the way, we'll set a fishing rod and try to fish our lunch :-)
By the lunch time we should be arriving to another Atlantic Ocean bay. To reach this place we'll be crossing a majestic and challenging cape. The views will be the opposite of the first day where we always had cities on sight. Today we'll have wild life and huge cliffs being bitten by the rough waters. But once we reach this bay and drop anchor close by the beach, we can relax and enjoy a the views of a small but lovely fishing village, by the sea and surrounded by mountains and cliffs.
To dock at Marina de Cascais is also possible if berths are available.
By the evening we should prepare the meals for the next day which will be sandwich and fruits based as we will be sailing for many hours.

Day 3: Dolphins Again
On the 3rd day we'll wake up early and after a short morning coffee, we'll prepare the boat for the longest journey. We'll be around 8 hours sailing.
We'll see the sun rising and, luckily, the dolphins dancing again around the sailing yacht. Sometimes we also watch small wales. Sea birds like common seagulls will be a constant the whole time.
On this last leg we'll have time to learn more details about sailing a cruising yacht and you'll have the opportunity to try it by yourself as much as you want.
Hoist and trim the sails is something everyone should know by the end of this adventure. Some knots and how to handle the boat electronics, like the radar, chart-plotter, AIS, VHF radio or the EPIRB it's something every sailor should know how to handle.
We'll discuss about the particularities of living and share a small space and the skipper will give feedback and tips on each one behavior on board, always on a pedagogic perspective.
The lunch will be on board and sandwich based.
Once getting into Tagus water, we'll have the opportunity to enjoy the other margin of the river.
At the marina is time to pack and clean the boat as taking care of the boat is also an important part of sailing journeys.
Still time to share personal feelings and feedback about this adventure.
